Who pays for human stupidity?
This speech was to take the place of a written final exam and was to count for fifty per cent of our grade. The speeches motivation was to persuade. After agonizing over a subject matter, and keeping with my animal theme, I decided on the topic of spaying and neutering pets. My goal was to try to persuade my classmates to neuter their pets. So I started researching the topic...
For over 100 years Pitbulls were called "The Nanny Dog"
Astoundingly, for most of our history America’s nickname for Pit Bulls was “The Nanny Dog”. For generations if you had children and wanted to keep them safe you wanted a pit bull, the dog that was the most reliable of any breed with children or adults. The Nanny Dog is now vilified by a media that always wants a demon dog breed to frighten people ...
We have recently been informed that dog flippers are currently targeting Craigslist for all breeds of dogs.
As usual, they want it cheap or free and of course they "promise" to love your dog and get it fixed!
BE CAREFUL!
If you are thinking of handing a dog over to anyone, especially on "Craigslist please do the following:
Last year I started keeping track of the "reported" cases of animal abuse in Tennessee. I emphasize the word “reported” because many cases of abuse are not reported. Studies have long shown the correlation between animal abuse, criminal behavior, and violence towards humans. I had hoped by exposing the abuse people would seek solutions to the problem, contact their representatives, and lobby for change. Of course this has not happened so it appears that this year will be a repeat of last year, if not worse. Several animal cruelty/abuse situations have already been reported in 2011. What do you need to get you involved? It should be mandatory that every one see the agony these animals suffer and then the danger those abusers become to our neighborhoods, families and children. More exposure must be necessary and I warn you the things you will see will be disturbing and not good for the weak of heart or stomach. Not recommended for children at all.
